Sowing Seeds of Love and Kindness
As we continue through the season of Winter, our hearts and minds might begin looking forward to the season of Spring. The hope of the arrival of Spring might entail welcoming fresh, new life: flowers, songbirds, longer sunnier days. Collectively, Spring is a metaphor of Hope, and we might feel truly ready to depart from the dark days and cold nights of the season of Winter.
If we look at the season of Winter as a Feminine Womb experience, we might perceive this season as less dismally and more of an opportunity to bring forth the golden dreams of the Womb within. What dreams do you wish to give birth to? In what way can you contribute to this dream? Does this dream include others or just yourself?
In the chaotic times we're living in, we may in the moment react to hurtful words or behavior with equally hurtful words or behavior. However, as the saying goes, fire only feeds fire, and we'll all experience the burning. If we truly want to live in a world polluted with anger, violent words and actions, social media trolling and discord, we can choose to feed that monster. We can choose to stay stuck in a metaphorical Winter, of sorts, and never grow.
But I would imagine that those in touch with their hearts do not truly desire to live in a world with this monster nor create a world for the next generations who might feed this monster. In shamanism, it is understood that there is no separation between self and others. Every action and word can feed either the current discord or by contrast, to the connection to this beautiful world we live in and share together. Surely, that monster of discord we collectively feed is not part of the world we desire to be a part of.
If we feed the discord in our daily lives in our thoughts, words and actions, will we find peace or will we find further discord? If you choose to feed thoughts that lift up your spirit, will you be living in peace or will you feed the discord in yourself and in others?
How can we feed our dreams for what we want to see together? What world do we want to dream up for ourselves, for our loved ones, and descendants?
Throughout time spiritual teachings have taught that our outer world is a reflection of our own inner state of consciousness. When we look at the environmental pollution and the state of the world today we are seeing a reflection of our own inner world. If we want to change the world we need to focus on changing ourselves. And this includes the need to be more conscious of the thoughts we send out. ~ SandraIngerman.com, Healing Toxic Thoughts.
Much like seeds of early Spring, we can choose to sow seeds of our own hopes and dreams with deep caring, watering and healthy foundational soil ~ as well as a brilliant dose of joyous sunshine! Manifesting this dream may include speaking kindly to oneself. It could be carving out time to self-care. It may be as simple as taking the time to ask a loved one how they are doing and to then listen with presence, asking questions and showing your authentic concern about them. Or, you might surprise a sick or sad friend or neighbor with a special dish made with love or cup of their favorite tea. Simple acts of kindness can ripple across the Web of energy that we are intrinsically woven into.
What seeds do you wish to bring forth from the deep Winter Womb to your Spring Garden? What do you wish to birth into life? Your Inner Garden can ripple out to co-create a world that includes sharing your Inner Garden by sowing seeds of love and compassion in the form of thoughts, words and actions that feed yourself as well as those sharing this life alongside us.
This is all part of dreaming up a more harmonious and loving world to live in ~ for our neighbors, and the entire extended family of all sentient beings we share this world with.
It's truly up to each one of us.
